Our Hosts: 

Kyle Lierman is the Founder and CEO of Civic Advisors.

Previously, Kyle was a Senior Associate Director of Public Engagement and Senior Policy Advisor in the Obama White House. During his six years at the White House, Kyle served as the liaison to athletes and leaders from the sports world, as well as to young Americans, education leaders, and the non-profit and philanthropic communities. Kyle launched and led the “It’s On Us” sexual assault prevention campaign, and spearheaded several other successful public/private partnership efforts, including the launch of Michelle Obama’s “Better Make Room” campaign.

Before joining the White House, Kyle was the GOTV director in Louisiana in 2010 for Organizing for America, ran for State Delegate in his hometown of Bethesda, MD, and served as a Special Assistant on the Obama-Biden transition team. Kyle is a proud graduate of George Washington University where he majored in business.

Stephanie Valencia is an organizer, tech policy and political strategist.

Working on various national and state campaigns since 2004 (or walking precincts for her dad’s city council race since she was 5 years old), Stephanie is most proud of working as Deputy Latino Vote Director on the 2008 Obama Campaign helping to garner record support from the Latino community for the first African American President.

She previously served in the Obama Administration as Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary Penny Pritzker and as Special Assistant to the President and Principal Deputy Director of Public Engagement at the White House. Currently, she is a partner at Investing in US. She recently worked at Google’s public policy office. She also serves on boards for Civic Nation, Latino Victory Fund, and Center for Community Change Action.
